Andrew R. Woods is Senior Curator for York Museums Trust. He leads the curatorial team at the Yorkshire Museum and has responsibility for the nationally-significant numismatic collection. His research focuses on archaeological approaches to coinage, with a particular focus on Early Medieval Britain and Ireland. His recent publications include ‘The production and use of coinage in East Anglia 500–800’ (2021) and various chapters in Lordship and Landscape in East Anglia, 400-800 (2024).
