"Dirty Money: Tracing Wakefield’s Third Century Clay Coin Moulds"




Emily North is Associate Collections Curator at York Museums Trust and has been part of the Yorkshire Museum curatorial team for seven years. She also recently held the post of Portable Antiquities Scheme Finds Liaison Officer (Maternity Cover) for North and East Yorkshire.  From 2016-2018 Emily coordinated a project which evaluated the research potential of the Yorkshire Museum’s Roman collections and edited the Roman Research Framework for these collections.  In 2019-2021 Emily undertook a Money and Medals Network Regional Research Fellowship to trace, analyse, and reinterpret Roman coin moulds found at Lingwell Gate, near Wakefield.
